ACD Systems is one of the largest and most respected independent digital image editing and management companies in the world. The company was founded in 1993 in Texas by technology and imaging visionary Doug Vandekerkhove. Doug foresaw the importance of the convergence of analog and digital (print, photos, scans, video and metadata) in the 80’s, revolutionizing how analog and digital information was used in pre-Web applications. Today ACD holds seven patents, and millions of ACDSee products are in use throughout the world.
ACD Systems has offices in the United States and Canada, supported by a team of global channel partners. With a product family that includes ACDSee Pro 6, ACDSee Pro 2 (Mac), ACDSee 16 photo editing and management solutions, and Canvas technical illustration software, the company serves millions of consumers, small and medium sized businesses, government agencies and educational institutions, and corporate customers.
Representative markets for ACD Systems' products include AEC (architecture, engineering and construction), insurance, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, government, architecture/construction, education, gaming, technology, bio/health and oil/gas/energy. Customers include General Motors, Caterpillar, Boeing, The New York City Fire Department, NASA, CNN and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. ACDSee software was used in the making of the movie Titanic because the filmmakers recognized that only ACDSee could provide the illustration, editing and management tools required for their large scale, complex development tasks and image management requirements.

your growing collection.
Organize your way

hierarchical keywords, and rate your photos. Tag images and
assign color labels, and bring them all together for further
editing or sharing. You can even organize your photos as you
import them from your camera or storage device.
Find anything
Find any photo fast. Enter
phrases like “ski trip” or “birthday party”, search only
specific folders, narrow it down by your camera's file
information, or find that one special image with the Quick
Search bar. Build detailed searches and save them for
ongoing use.
View super fast
Put ACDSee's legendary speed
to work for you. Check out your latest shots, examine
details, and enjoy full-size, fully dazzling views. Any way
you look at it, ACDSee 16 means instant viewing
gratification.
Easily brush on edits
Want to soften only a face
and not the entire photo? The Edit Brush makes it super easy
and fast to apply any editing effect to a specific part of
your photo. Correct exposure, change the color, adjust
details, or add a special effect.
Achieve the best light and
color
Rescue photos that are too
light or too dark with ACDSee’s patented LCE (Lighting and
Contrast Enhancement) technology. Instantly lighten shadows
and reduce highlights in one click, or adjust individual
sliders to fine tune every aspect.
Share your shots
Photos are meant to be
shared. With ACDSee there are so many ways to make that
happen, from social media to e-mail to iPhone and iPad apps.
Get ready to inspire friends, family and the world.

Facebook friendly
Upload photos
directly from ACDSee to your Facebook account, fast. Create a new album
or select an existing one, add location and description details, and
specify the privacy level.
Get to know your photos
Behind every photo are the
technical details. Now you can access key shooting information while
managing, viewing, and editing your photos. The new Info Palette
conveniently displays a host of data alongside your photo, including
white balance, metering mode, exposure program, and whether the flash
fired. Plus, see the ISO, f-stop, shutter speed, exposure compensation,
focal length, and more, all in one spot, without distracting you from
your photos.
Look up locations
ACDSee uses the latitude
and longitude information embedded in your photos to lookup the nearest
readable address or place name. Simply select a pin on the map, choose
“Reverse Geocode” and ACDSee will write the matching location details
into the appropriate IPTC fields.
Gradient editing
Apply a gradient to almost
any editing effect to subtly progress across your photo. It’s especially
handy for images that aren’t evenly exposed, or that need fine tuning in
only select areas.
Boost your bokeh
Attain a realistic bokeh
effect with the new Lens Blur filter. Choose the shape and adjust the
bokeh frequency and brightness to emulate the pleasing visual artifacts
that naturally appear around bright, out-of-focus areas of a photo.
Transform with Tilt-Shift
Simulate the popular
Tilt-Shift effect to transform your photo into a miniature-scale model.
Rotate the lens plane, adjust the bokeh frequency, brightness, and sides
to get the perfect scene.
