Expression Studio 2 cannot be uninstalled until Expression Media 2 SP2 has
been removed
Installation and prerequisites
- Expression Studio 2 cannot be
uninstalled until Expression Media 2 SP2 has been removed
When using the Expression Studio 2 installer
to uninstall Expression Studio 2, the installer requires that you uninstall
Expression Media 2 SP2 before continuing. To continue to use Expression
Media 2 SP2 with Expression Studio 3, you must first uninstall Expression
Media 2 SP2, and then uninstall Expression Studio 2. Once you have installed
Expression Studio 3, reinstall Expression Media 2, and then download
Expression Media 2 SP1 and Expression Media 2 SP2.
To uninstall Expression Media 2 SP2:
- If the installer is open, close the
installer by clicking Cancel, then clicking Yes,
and then clicking Finish.
- In the Control Panel,
do one of the following:
- For Windows Vista, click
Programs and Features, then locate and click
Microsoft Expression Media 2 SP2, and then click
Uninstall.
- For Windows XP, click Add or
Remove Programs, then locate and click Microsoft
Expression Media 2 SP2, and then click Remove.
- After Expression Media 2 SP2 has been
removed, locate Microsoft Expression Studio 2, and then
click Uninstall (for Windows Vista) or Remove
(for Windows XP).
- Optional: After Expression Studio 2 has
been removed, reinstall Expression Media 2, and then download available
updates from
Microsoft Update.

need:
- Microsoft Windows® XP with Service Pack
2, Windows Vista™ or Windows 7 operating system.
- Windows® Media Player 11 (Windows XP
only)
- PC with 1 GHz or faster processor
- 1 GB of RAM or more
- 2 GB or more of available hard-disk
space
- .NET Framework 3.5 with Service Pack 1
- Support for Microsoft DirectX® 9.0
graphics with Windows Vista Display Driver Model (WDDM) Driver, 128 MB
of graphics RAM or more, Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware, 32-bits per pixel
- DVD-ROM drive
- 1024 x 768 or higher-resolution monitor
with 24-bit color
- Internet access (for Internet
functionality; additional fees may apply)
- Some product features require
Silverlight 2.0, Firefox 3.0, Internet Explorer 7 and AJAX Suite
