TechSmith Camtasia Studio 6.0 on uusin versio hyvin suositusta ruutuvideoiden nauhoittamiseen tarkoitetusta ohjelmasta. Camtasia Studio nahoittaa kaiken ruudulla näkyvän tai halutessasi vain osan ruutua videoksi, jota voidaan muokata suoraan ohjelmassa. Mikrofonin tai ulkoisten äänitiedostojen avulla videoon voidaan lisätä ääntä, puhetta ja vaikkapa musiikkia. Näin esimerkiksi koulutusmateriaalin tuottaminen on yksinkertaista.

Kun video on valmis, se voidaan tallentaa erilaisiin yleisiin videomuotoihin. Näitä ovat esimerkiksi Adobe Flash- ja Windows Media -muodot, mutta ohjelma hallitsee myös AVI-, M4V-, MOV- ja RM-tiedostomuodot. Camtasian saa nyt myös Macille!

Camtasia Studio sisältää kaiken tarpeellisen videoiden muokkaamiseen. Voit yhdistellä useita videoita, nauhoittaa väliin PowerPoint-esityksiä, sekä käyttää erilaisia tehosteita. Jos olet esimerkiksi nauhoittamassa tuote-esittelyä, voit kohdistaa videon tarkemmin ruudun johonkin osaan Zoom & Pan -toiminnolla. Voit lisätä videon päälle myös selitetekstiä ja vaikkapa nuolia osoittamaan tärkeitä kohtia.

Camtasia Studiossa videoiden muokkaaminen perustuu tuttuun aikajanaan, jota on selkeää ja helppoa käyttää. Videoiden ja äänen tallentaminen voidaan haluttaessa tehdä eri aikaan, ja lopullisia videoita voidaan leikata lyhyemmäksi tai tarvittaessa pidentää Extend Frame -toiminnolla.
